The Memories and Pain When Selling Gold Jewelry

Written By: Kevin Robbins, Gold Solutions

So many times during the week, nice people enter my office for an appointment and they are struggling tremendously with the memories tied to the gold jewelry they are selling.  Each piece holds a memory of a vacation or an event that they hold dear in their heart but
due to the economic times they are forced to sell their gold coins, rings or platinum items.

Many people who enter my office for this reason, I see as a human being and sometimes I struggle that I am aiding in their pain.  I try to convince myself that what I am doing is good because the decision is theirs and they need to do what they are doing.

During our session buying gold, we talk about the gold jewelry or items and what they meant.  We talk about their sadness in seeing them go and they wish they did not have to do what they are doing but they must.  Sometimes the emotion is so thick I join them in their sadness.

What I always tell them is, the economy will get better and once again they can make new memories and buy gold in return.  They can purchase other keepsakes to remind them of the new life they have.  We discuss the pictures they took that now become their reference to a special time in their life.

I assure them it will get better and promise them that when they would like to acquire new gold jewelry to somehow replace the ones they lost, return to my office.  Although the pieces are not the same, I promise them I will look for items when I buy gold and help them to re-establish the things they lost.

I would like to say that I am truly sorry for the difficulty everyone is having in these times and things WILL get better.  Life will return to normal and the memories you have are not lost.  I will in every way possible help you to get back what you lost in the best way I know how.  I will pay you the best for your items.  The most rewarding part is almost every person I buy gold or platinum from is shocked at what they are getting and somehow leave with a great sense of relief and it helps, yes only helps with the loss of their memories that the gold jewelry held.

Thanks to BT and JT, I’ll have ET the next time you visit my office.  This time to buy gold!
